An old ranchero tells the story of his ranch to a little boy. A pony runs along a dry field. A group of vaqueros, or cowboys, herding a group of cattle on a dusty plane. They use riatas, or lassos to rope calves while a herding dogs helps. The roped calf is branded with a hot iron.
