An old ranchero tells the story of his ranch. The ranhero on horseback commands his vaquero or cowboy to go get a loose calf. They rope it with a riata or lasso. One cowboy holds the bull’s tail between it’s legs and ties its legs. He starts a fire with flint and steel and then uses the fire to brand the calf with a branding iron. The ranchero makes a notch on his tally stick to keep track of his amount of cows.
