The young music (Michael Tilson Thomas) conductor starts off with very aggressive hand commands constantly pausing the music to change pace. The scene changes to the musicians where one switches his trumpet to play the trombone. The camera then zooms into a 2-shot of the trombone and cello. The scene cuts back to the conductor who is now taking a lighter pace with a very experimental long-duration tone from every instrument and finally ending with a sci-fi bird sound from the cello player.
